Measuring Guide

Taking your measurements has to be done correctly; there is absolutely no room for errors.

Always get someone else to take the measurements for you: measuring yourself will give you inaccurate numbers and could lead to disappointment when you receive the dress.

Measure with underwear similar to what you will wear with your dress. Do not measure over other clothes.

1) Full Bust
Standing straight, feet together, arms at side, position the tape around the largest part of back and fullest area of bust. Make sure the measuring tape is parallel to the floor.

2) Waist
Standing straight, feet together, arms at side, position the tape around the smallest part of your waist. Usually 1-2 inches above your belly button. Make sure the measuring tape is parallel to the floor. Your natural waist is above your belly button, not where your low riding jeans sit.

3) Hips
Standing straight, feet together, arms at side, position the tape around the largest part of your hips, about 7 inches down from your belly button. Make sure the measuring tape is parallel to the floor.

4) Hollow to floor/hem, with shoes
This must be done correctly. Standing straight (absolutely no slouching), feet together, arms at side, wearing the heal height you will be wearing on the day. Position the measuring tape in the hole in your neck (above your collar bone), pulling down naturally to the desired hem length of your gown. Do not add extra if the gown has any fullness to it, we will do that when it is being made.
